In 2013 Christopher Palmer Associates were commissioned by (Inverlochy Castle Management International) to work with Comrie architects, Denholm Partnership for a major refurbishment of the 15 bedroom five star Cromlix Hotel set within 35 acres of wooded policies and gardens near Kinbuck, three miles from Dunblane.
Our work included a review of existing trees within the immediate setting of the hotel, with proposals for new tree planting as well as design detailing of stone paving, car parks and external circulation. Soft landscaping includes the creation of new shrub and herbaceous borders around the hotel as well as refurbishment of existing terraced lawns, creation of new lawns and hydroseeding of estate parkland approaches.
Long lost paths into a woodland garden on the west side of the main hotel lawn have been rediscovered and open up and a new kitchen garden created with raised timber beds.
The hotel opened in Spring 2014
