CPA transformed the grounds at the Morton Avenue, Paisley ACCORD Hospice over 2012/13 from untidy dense overgrown shrubbery with little interest to the staff or patients, to provide beds of shrubs and herbaceous perennials creating a colourful display for every month with improved paths and seating for patients to access and enjoy the gardens. Works have also included improved paving at the main entrance and handrails to stepped ramped paths.
ACCORD Hospice provides a range of specialist palliative care and support to the communities of Renfrewshire and parts of East Renfrewshire.
Obtaining a topographic survey and Tree survey were the first actions to accurately establish the Site situation.
Proposals included removal of all the original beds including several untidy trees and regrading the landform to create smooth even beds for ease of future maintenance.
An existing shrub bed was utilised to form an Entrance Water Feature.
A Christmas Light display infrastructure was incorporated to allow posts/light nets and power for Christmas Displays
Premium Landscapes were appointed to implement the works which were carried out February – November 2013 and thereafter to maintain the works to effectively establish the proposals over future seasons
